Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbs brown sugar
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 3 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Heat up your waffle iron, grease with nonstick cooking spray.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add butter, milk, eggs and vanilla to the center of your mixture.

  3. Combine the mixture until everything is thoroughly combined, be sure not to over mix as this will result in tough waffles.

  4. Let the batter sit for 2-3 minutes. My waffle iron came with a handy measuring cup, but I would say place 1/2 cup of mixture in your iron.

  5. Place waffles on a wire rack to cool. Do not stack the waffles on top of each other so they can remain crispy!
