French Toast

A quick an easy recipe for French Toast using French Brioche bread

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 4-6 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 loaf French Brioche Bread
  • strawberries, blueberries for garnish
  • maple syrup for serving

Instructions

  1. Combine the spices in a bowl, and set aside. Whisk together the milk and the eggs until combined

  2. Add the spices and vanilla into the mixture

  3. Heat the skillet on low medium heat, and let the pan heat up.

  4. Dip the sliced bread into the egg mixture and make sure to coat both sides.  Once the pan is heated place the bread in the pan.

  5. Fry each piece of bread 2-3 mins per side until the bread is golden brown. Place done slices in the oven on low heat to keep warm.

  6. Once all the toast is done, top with fresh fruit, maple syrup, and whip cream! Enjoy :)
