With daylights saving time here, in my head we are a couple steps closer to summer! I have been craving a good smoothie bowl for a while. I mean who wouldn’t want one? They are jam packed with nutrition, filling, and so damn beautiful.
It’s easy to get intimidated when you see these gorgeous bowls all over Pinterest and Instagram. I won’t lie you may have to make a trip to Whole Foods to get some of your ingredients, but the good thing is you can freeze any leftovers and make smoothie bowls anytime you want. To make things even easier the chart I created below, lets you customize any smoothie bowl of your choice. The below is just a guide so feel free to freestyle it to your liking.
The Acai Smoothie bowl I made is very easy, and a great bowl for beginners to make. The base ingredients are very minimal, but you can build upon that and add as many ingredients you would like. I was able to pick up my Acai packets from my local Whole Foods Market. Trader Joe’s also has a something very similar to the Sambazon Acai packets.
Acai Smoothie Bowl
Acai Smoothie bowl packed with delicious nutrition and berries!
Ingredients
- 2 Sambazon Acai Packets
- 1/2 banana plus more for topping
- 1/2 cup apple juice Please make sure its 100% Juice, or use any liquid of your choice
Toppings
- Strawberries
- Blueberries
- Bananas
- Granola
- Coconut
- agave or honey drizzle
Instructions

Run Acai packets under warm water for about 5 seconds to loosen up packet

Add acai, banana, liquid to blender, and blend until smooth

Transfer to bowl and top with toppings, and drizzle with honey if desired. Enjoy!
In a perfect world I would start my day off with a smoothie bowl every day, but let’s be real nobody has time to assemble this every day at 7 in the morning. But if you are able to, more power to you! In addition to my Acai bowl, I’m leaving below 5 of my favorite bowls I’ve seen.
